Integrated Primary Care for Child and Adolescent
Pediatric and adolescent Primary and Acute Care
My name is Rikki Broom, and I am a pediatric nurse practitioner. I am double board certified in acute and primary care. I absolutely adore my role at KBC and every patient I get to interact with. I want to be a positive change in the lives of my patients and their families. I believe in having a healthier future; you must start while you’re young, and I want to be that positive influence in a child’s life to make healthy decisions as they age into adulthood. Working with the pediatric population comes with lots of challenges. When a parent is sad. I am sad. When a parent rejoices in the success of their child. I, too, rejoice with them. As a mother myself, I know how stressful raising a child can be, and I want to be able to help bridge the gaps and biases that comes with healthcare. I want to be an advocate for each of my patients. To know that I was a positive influence in just one child’s life would be all the testimony I would need to know I did my job to its fullest. It’s my goal to bring a positive light and change to healthcare. If you want to fix the problem, you must be willing to be part of the solution.
